With reference to C. 0. D. 295 of 1902, I
have the honour to submit the following report relative to the question of the Clerical Staff of the Sanitary Department as I
have now had two months experience of the working of this office:
The staff as at present constituted is
shown in the attached detailed list of the clerks with their
respective duties.
Mr. Lo Man Kai is the head clerk, and per-
forms his duties very satisfactorily and is a thoroughly reli-
able man.
Mr. M. H. Harteam, the next senior clerk,
Bonourable
performs his duties satisfactorily.
Mr. Chow Wai Shan, Assistant Clerk, type-
writes well, and is a good Interpreter, he has had over three
years experience in this Department and works well.
Mr. Cheng Hon Cheung, Assistant Clerk, has
only been here since the 1st. of this month, and I am unable
to report as to his capabilities, he has had three years' experience in the Public Works Department.
Mr. Tam Wing Kwong was a temporary olerk
from October 1st., 1902, to 1st. of this month at $30 a month,
from the 1st. of this month he was promoted to $40 a month. He had a good record at Queen's College and promises well.
